  • Like the postlude, playing with your feet! Now are those special organ shoes? Shoes that you only wear to play the organ? When you go dcown for communion, do you have to be extra careful not to get anything on them or stuck in them?

  • Yes, they are shoes specially made for playing the pedals. I only wear them when I play.

  • I just listened to all three segments of your 2007 Christmas Eve Mass. Takes me back to a time long ago. Thank you for sharing your talent. Merry Christmas and a Happy, Healthy New Year. Rick

  • Thank you for your wonderful comment. I will be playing again for Christmas Eve tomorrow. I am excited and nervous at the same time. However, once you play for that many people once, it's not quite so nerve-racking the second time.:) I wish you a blessed holiday season. MERRY CHRISTMAS!

  • No offense, but the registration you have selected tends to screech at moments in the recessional and postlude

  • No offense taken:) I believe the screech comes from the microphone on the camera which is not designed to record music really well. It raises the pitch of the actually sound. The recording does not accurately portray the sound of the organ.

  • Noble effort! Don't worry about the nerves, we all get them. Tons of practice and total focus during the performance will help. It does get better. The Buxtehude was a nice choice for a postlude. Don't worry about the mistakes. Play for the heart and they'll soon disappear. I do wish people wouldn't make gross generalizations. Sitting down and listening has nothing to do with being Catholic, btw...

  • You only wear organ shoes at the organ, I wish Catholics would sit down and listen, you did a great job, improving well I am certain. Merry Christmas!

  • You did so well! It was just amazing!

  • its very encouraging to see a young person playing organ in his church. I am currently playing for a church, after a long haitus and I tell you, I wish I had stuck with it all along

  • i'm always nervous

  • I don't wear organ shoes (haven't got the chance to get them) when I play but technically it is better to wear shoes so that the pedalling is better.
