ich wollte mir 8.10 runterladen, aber ich finde keinen link für die ppc version(nur alternate) kennt jemand einen link?

Momentan wurde die PPC Edition noch nicht freigegeben. Auch auf den Entwicklungsservern ist keine PPC-Version downloadbar. Vermutlich wird diese Version erst in einem Monat veröffentlicht.

That's a good question, but I think that they want do have a dark style like the new KDE and Vista. Both of them are very dark. Some think that the Linux-Consol colors (white on black) must be also in the GUI.

Why do they want a dark theme so much? It's so unusable. The Greatest minority of books have white text on a black page because black text on a white page is clearer.

Ob Linux besser läuft oder immer besser ist sei mal dahingestellt, ich benutze sowohl Windows als auch Linux (Ubuntu) und bin mit beiden Systemen sehr zufrieden! Wenn einem der Desktop unter Linux nicht gefällt, kann man ihn nach seine eigenen Wünschen beliebig umgestallten.

geht ja nicht ums aussehen linux ist besser läuft besser als windows (egal welches) es ist außerdem noch fast virenfrei und KOSTENFREI

I agree but of course ya can always change the theme lol, ubuntu 8.10 is still in alpha and could be alot better once the final release is out.
