  • i have never seen what you do with the yarn that is still on the tapestry needle at the end. How do you fasten it in so that it doesn't undo? do you just weave it in?

  • @barrolyn Yes.

  • i'm left handed but knit right handed. i would love to be able to kitchener using my left hand to hold the tapestry needle. would it "work" if i pointed the needles to the left and worked left to right? thanks.

  • I'm not left handed so I don't really know but I would assume so.

  • Can a 3 needle bind off be substituted for the Kitchener Stitch?

  • @moldwarrior Generally not because a 3 needle bind off will give you a ridge while grafting will not. Hence the beauty of the kitchener stitch!!

  • Thank you so much for posting this video! I'd have never figured it out with all the books I have without actually seeing it done. I deeply appreciate people like you posting more advanced techniques for those of us that wish to venture into that but don't have anyone to teach us. Very nice of you.

  • Thank you so much for this. I've done this countless times and each time I pull up this video to guide me along, even when it's projects that call for the pattern many times over I just keep replaying this video. Thank You!

  • Thank you so much! got it in the first try and it looks awesome! it is so good to learn and do things on your own, and not needing to ask for help! Again, THANK YOU!

  • Great video! Thanks for sharing!

  • Knitwitch ...that's magic THANKYOU! I thought I had it watching another video, but when it came to the doing,I became undone! I LOVE that you show this with another colour too.Brilliant Brilliant.

  • Thank you for the video. Tried to finish my sock with Kitchener stitch from written instructions and got in a terrible mess. Now I understand the process of what I'm supposed to be doing. Thank you KnitWitch. Hope you can help me with figure of eight casting on tool

  • Thank you for this very clear tutorial- I literally sat and replayed this clip until my project was done - and you tought me a new knitting skill.

  • Thank you sooooo much. I tried to figure it out by the book and was lost. I really appreciate your taking the time to put this video together! Great job!

    You saved me!!

  • Thanks so much for this video. I forgot to comment on it the first time i watched it which was for the first cardigan i've ever made. The grafting under the sleeves came out perfectly thanks to you. I am now watching it again because i have to graft 56 stitches together on a cardigan that's knit flat. You also had a big hand in teaching me how to knit 3 years ago. :)

  • THANK YOU!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

  • Thank you for your clear instructions on the video. After attempting it from a book, I did a search on the internet, pulled your video up, and was able to successfully (and neatly) do the kitchener stitch.

  • Thank you very much for posting this! I like many others who have commented have been trying to do this with a book and I have found that to be nearly impossible! My sock it finished now! :) YAY!
