not really, only interpretation hard (all chopin song is very hard to interpret well even you can perform it technically), this etude is relatively easy comparing with other etude pieces
-
Nicely played.

i want to hear u played a piece on koreanovela! "winter sonata or endless love!" ...
-
I thought you handled the middle just fine. Sure some mistakes but overall well managed. I would only suggest starting the middle slower and accelerating, rather than just firing out of the canon.
-
I feel your pain when you say"stupid middle part!!"
-
Nice, but why are there always people coughing in the damn audience?
-
You probably won't bother but if its possible could you put up a file of your sheet music for this piece? Basically, for the fingering alone. I've never good at finding the right ones quickly
much appreciated if it can be done

You mention in another post how teachers give you time constraints to learn pieces. So I was wondering, how much time they give you to learn this? How long did it take you? (Then, ha, ha, I'll tell you how long it took ME...but only I can laugh at it, lol!):-) Liebestraum's GOT to be tougher than this.

since I study in a music school, we play for exams every 3 months or so. i played liebestraume last year when I was a freshman and this one just last month for the 1st sem of 2nd year. let's say it took me 3 months to learn this, entire moonlight sonata and one bach prelude and fugue. this etude and liebestraume are both tough.:) what makes this piece really challenging though is how you have to make it beautiful like bringing out the top notes in a very legato manner.

How difficult is the liebestraume compared to this etude? The Liebestraume sounds a lot more difficult, but I've never played it.

i think they're both very difficult in terms of technicality and interpretation.:)

I know what you mean about the middle part. I was also learning this piece and I tried for weeks to perfect the middle part and I finally decided I wanted to move on to other pieces and would come back to it at a later time. It is indeed a beautiful piece and you played it well. Don't worry about the mistakes in public. Chances are most people didn't notice anyway.
