Kyokushin Karate NC - Kenny Buffaloe & son, Christian Buffaloe TV Appearance 4

Sensei Kenny Buffaloe has trained his 9 year old son, Christian Buffaloe in Kyokushin Karate since he was 2 1/2 years old. Christian is a two time (2008 & 2009) "All American Kyokushin Karate Full Contact Children's Tournament" champion. Kenny Buffaloe and Christian Buffaloe appear here on a popular TV network sports program demonstrating Kyokushin Karate, Japan's most powerful martial art. They are also interviewed about Christian's upcoming participation in the "World Youth Kyokushin Karate Championships" in Chiba, Japan on August 22, 2009. Christian Buffaloe won first place in a qualifying tournament in June, 2009 to represent the USA at this world tournament in Japan.

Yoko dekimashita (well done) Sir. were you an uchi deshi of Mr. Oyama Sosai? And if so when did you train with him.Nihon de Kyokushin no shiai dodeshtaka? How did he do in the Kyokushin's tournament in Japan? Osu

@1banryukyu Osu! He did very well in that World Kyokushin Youth Championships. He lost to a two time All Japan youth champion who later lost to the eventual winner of this tournament, in a division of 120 competitors! His lost was a great learning experience that helped him grow and develop even stronger, which is a positive thing. He is looking forward to returning to Japan to fight again in that World Youth Championships in November, 2011. Osu!

@6lonewolf1 I have a feeling he will do great things inside&outside of the tournaments. I think that would be what Mr. Oyama Sosai would have wanted for the next generation of Kyokushin Karateka. My Sensei was Mr. Shichinohe, Yasuhiro of the Okinawa branch dojo (now I think he is the head of the Intl Kyokushin Union). I have not trained in Kyokushin since the split of Kyokushin (IKO1, IKO2,IKU ect) and I lefted Okinawa. What prefecture will this years tournament be held in? Osu
