  • Unfortunately in your case seems like it's a straight connection between your playing and judgment... For your age (and being an amateur) your playing is fine. I was actually impressed with Op. 19. What I don't like is when people express their opinion without much thinking and deep understanding. Listen again - may be you'll hear something beyond poor recording quality.

  • oh really?

Scraibin is my favorite composer and i think i have heard quite many interpretations of this piece.

i play some of his pieces too.

he plays here way too fast IMO.

YOU SHOULD HEAR UGORSKY RECRODING TO DISCOVER A TRUE GEM!

  • Ugorsky is an outstanding pianist and I've heard him.

As for your "playing Scriabin's pieces" - you are not even close to the level to judge Neuhaus' performance. Before expressing your *unhumble* opinion you should know the subject much better.

I think Ugorsky himself would be embarrassed by your comment.

  • he plays way too fast and without much emotion :\

anatoly ugorsky's recording of this piece is immortal!

  • Typical combination of ignorance and arrogance!

    Another YT "genius"...

  • Я не могу помочь ... Я люблю этого человека!

  • Neuhaus was one of the geniuses, But he was the best piano teacher (his students speak for him, Richter, Gilels, Lipatti.....). In my opinion there is enough emotion for the piece, but not enough emotion for some listeners. He played as professor. Emotion after racio. This is also way and it is good way. Neuhaus was genius.

  • Scriabin ~ Master of the piano. With his music, there is no piano anymore...

  • I agree that it's wonderful, both Neuhaus and the orchestra, but I must say I also agree that there's nothing like Ugorsky.

  • What elusive poetry, seeming to vibrate gently already before we hear it.... The phrasing of the orchestra is exquisite, the naturalness of the piano beyond our dreams.

  • thanks for sharing this! Neuhaus is father of all us!

  • THIS IS heavenly. I love this composition. THe orchestre is one of the most amazing. Stupéfiant. La plupart d'interprétation magnifique!!!!!!!! And the piece, more than a treasure. I can cry with this. Thank you andre!!!
