This is a cynical and sad song.

@BohemienGypsies More like the insane amount of acid.

Pink Floyd is my biggest inspiration, mostly Syd for trippy music and the insane amount of weed he smoked and then going crazy. I try to music like them but not as good as Pink Floyd but please check it out I would be much obliged

@jhoch5 ps. You should check out The Jesus And Mary Chain's version of Vegetable Man on the B-Side of their Upside Down single, on of the best cover versions of any song ever !
-
@jhoch5 Hey now, See-Saw and Remember A Day are fantastic Rick Wright songs(particularly Remember A Day), but Vegetable Man tripe?!? I think NOT !
-
@jhoch5 During 65-67 Syd Barrett wrote almost all their songs, their first singles Arnold Layne and See Emily Play and all but two of the tracks on the Piper. Then he was replaced by Gilmour.

@jhoch5 Chris Dennis and Syd Barrett were both in The Tea Set with Waters, Mason and Wright, which was the band that later changed name to Pink Floyd. The other members were reportedly relieved that Chris Dennis went to the middle-east and Barrett filled his role as front-man and eventually Barrett named them "The Pink Floyd Sound" after two obscure American blues musicians called Pink Andersson and Floyd Council.

@mrdave777 Well you started to argue yourself, simple minded friend.
I like Syd, I like David, it's sad it didn't work with them both in the band, it would be great if Syd was writing with Gilmour, they both had something unique. Pink Floyd would never happen without Syd, but they would never be as great without David Gilmour.
