Recognizing Gender Inequalities in South Africa

A Gender at Work facilitator describes a moment in a Gender at Work action-learning workshop in which the participants from a South African grassroots organization see the embedded gender inequalities within their culture. It is from this recognition that they can then begin to do work redressing these inequalities -- getting to the root causes and finding a solution for change.
