Second set, Sight On Sound, Argyle Fine Art in Halifax

Excerpt of a performance I was part of with musician and composer Chuck Blazevic at Argyle Fine Art gallery in April. This is from the second set, in which Chuck premiered an original composition for three guitars, by performing each of the parts in sequence, each time in duet with playback of the recording of the previous part's performance. For this set I worked in a similar structure, presenting three sequences of clips in layers. This excerpt is from the final cycle, so all three layers of clips are on screen. As in the first set, the clips were drawn from my own work and from a wide range of other sources including television commercials, experimental and mainstream cinema, music video and video art. I thought of this set as the "abstract" set, and was working with shape, colour, speed and path of motion without regard for any narrative context of the images.
