You are absolutely right on that! I have to say that our railway network is pretty extensive, but still rather inefficient.

Well, I guess there must also be many faults... which are the main ones in your opinion? Here in Italy, we still have a railway network that leaves a lot to be desired.

Very good video mate!

Thanks for the vid, very enjoyable!

@rhondaw1 I would guess because they're lighter.

It must be very nice to travel by train in Australia.

@Michele640 Not really.

@Michele640 The problem here is a large country with a small population that does not support a frequent or even comfortable service. I would have to say though that our on time running would have to be better than Italy if my experiences there are anything to go by.

can i ask why sprinters are permitted 130km/h and locos only 115km/h
rhondaw1 1 year ago
@rhondaw1 Axle load , suspension, braking distance.

Wow, an honest-to-gosh four track main line? Looked like that Sprinter was outrunning the first locomotive-hauled train by a little bit.

@FastFlyingVirginian Two broad gauge ( 5'3") tracks and the others are standard (4'8.5") gauge but it is a passing loop approximately 7km's long then back to a single line CTC track. The Sprinters are permitted 130km/h and the locos only 115km/h
