I so agree with the Positive Comments above-The complainers of this, well you Just Obviously don't know what Talent, Immense Talent that She & both of them) brought to that moment in time & space-If you only knew what it took to bring this together..wow BRAVO!!!!!♥D

She Is Great Here.. LOVE her interpretation <3

The ONLY song I've ever heard Baez sing that I hated. Definitely it's the song, but it doesn't fit her - the duet doesn't work for her and I'd rather hear one of 500 other songs she could do 10 times as well.

She ruins every song she covers...Sucks!

Nice performance of an amazing song.

I like both Santana & Foreigner, so this is a treat, a good one. It is different from the original, but hey, Joan still sounds great, doesn't she! I like it!

I'm afraid I disagree. It's nice to try to reach out and do something different sometimes.. There's more register than Barbara Allen to the woman...It's the message she aimed at....
Sophia.

Right on, Nilsomar!
The flow of the original is ingrained in everyone's mind, but she is doing some real sangin here!

XXXDDDDDD OH MY GOD
I'm puzzled by the negative comments about this video. it's a different style for Baez, and I'm glad I watched to it. She brings her precision and accuracy, her musical "logic" if you will, to a song that's emotional at its core, and stylistically different from her previous recordings. I like it... it shows a willingness on her part to move out of the safe zone, to innovate, to grow and experiment and take chances as an artist.

Her singing partner was Greg Walker of Santana. And the band was the Boston Pops. Thanks for posting this. I remember watching it on "Evening at Pops" when it first aired (1985 or so), but haven't seen it since. Great seeing it again!
