  • I hope it didn't take 40 minutes of actual extrication to remove someone from an upright pickup. Any decent crew should be able to take off the roof and both doors in about ten minutes.

  • @ffjsb I don't know who posted 40 minutes. It was much less than that. 20 at most.

  • @VX2100DV Uh, it's in the description under the video.

  • @ffjsb Opps! My bad. It's now changed.

  • Years ago, before they changed the layout of the street, i could have filmed something like this once a year in the turn right in front of my house. In five years, over 15 cars were totalled, one person killed and several wounded. Dont drive when sleepy. Dont drive too fast. Dont drink and drive. You might become a statistic.

  • @43FIRERESCUE43, thank you for demonstrating your complete lack of knowledge about HIPAA- you can't even spell it, let alone tell what is and is not a violation.

The photographer was not involved wuith patient care, and is not even a member of any responding agency, therefore not bound by HIPAA or any other medical privacy law. He can shoot anything he wants in public, and publish it anywhere he sees fit.

  • FORD=found on road dead sorry ford fans

  • anyone notice how the hood of the f 150 isnt even damaged maybe it came up and blocked the drivers view and maybe he panicked and thats what caused the collision just a guess tho

  • @ffajk also its not va its wa

  • @VX2100DV Okay. BTW, The standard for extrication in a situation like in the video (a vehicle upright and not having objects preventing access to the vehicle) is under 10 minutes. Most depts would cut the whole roof off and pull the patient straight back from his seat onto a backboard.

  • engine company is just man power till theres an actual fire.. then i guess their useful lol ;P

  • @ffajk The fatality was in the white F-150, the extrication was in the black Dakota. There's no way it should take forty minutes for extrication. I hope the person reporting that was mitaken. There are a lot of guys just standing around though.

  • @ffjsb I can understand the 40 minute extrication because im not sure how things are done in VA but most other places if its clearly a fatal I.E no chance of survivability and on a state highway, State police has to do their investigation take pictures then the State M.E. has to be called and respond before the body can be moved. Its a time consuming process. As I said though im just speaking from my experiance.
