David Liu, founder of Good OS gave CES press at Lunch@Piero's a look at Cloud 0.8, the company's new operating system and browser that lets users boot right into their favorite apps online. Cloud combines a browser with a Linux operating system, and features a special icon dock inside the browser for launching users' selected apps. Cloud is perfect for the new generation of netbooks and notebooks. Rather than drumming their fingers waiting for Windows XP to boot up, users can boot into Cloud and be productive right away running their chat, email, and other online applications while Windows XP boots up in the background. And once XP is booted, both XP and Cloud coexist happily and are available to the user. Good OS is the company behind the gOS operating system that debuted on Wal-Mart computers just over one year ago. At CES, Good OS releases Cloud 0.8 operating system and showcases Cloud on its different design wins.
