A small but poiniant tribute to a dear son and patriot of Scotland. Colin was at the helm of the M77 motorway protest in the mid 90's in Glasgow. He later created Gal Gael Trust in Govan to give local people a venue to learn new skills - ancient and modern. His vision was of peace for the world and community values. Regenerating celtic heritage and scottish identity was a big part of Colins vision. All people where welcomed by him. He did in 2005 at the age of 39. He was carried through the streets of Govan on the shoulders of his celtic brothers and sisiters, the police blocked of the roads leading to the Old Govan Parish Church - as was the volume of people following in the cortege. Colin was a leader of men, a loving father and husband. He will never be forgotten by those who's life he touched. His spirit lives on. . . . . .

  • i wish he could come back :(

  • Stratslayer, assumes that humankind are not the architects of their own destiny because they are controlled by "nature".But man has evolved beyond the constraints of his enviroment to become masters of this very enviroment. This means that now Humankind must exercise responsibility.Obviously something you would be quite happy to wash your hands of.

Colin MacLeod, who knew the seriousness of the responsibilities that he tried to instill in all of us for a better healthier and safer world.

  • I went to school with Colin and this is the first time that I have seen this video I didnt realise that he passed away the same year as my dad did (as nobody told me so that was a shock) He was a fantastic Guy then and Im quite sure he was fantastic right up till the end. • Does anyone remember the tree stump next to the M77 with a screaming face carved into it ?

  • @domhanda very true!

  • I remember meeting this guy down at the park. He has left the people of Pollok a legacy. Plus the fact this is where it all started for the great wee Rosie Kane. Now wee have Save Pollok Park campaign, Colin would be proud.
