Ancient wine production

Wine was produced in Armenia since the New Stone Age.

This sensational announcement was done by archeologists during the excavation of Noravank's Bird Cave.

They are almost sure that the new artifacts are wine-presses belonging to the 5-4 millennium BC.

If the supposition is confirmed, it will mean that Armenia is the place where people first produced wine.

The strange fact is that all the artifacts, stones of grape and other fruits, as well as essential amount of grain, colorful threads, garden wooden tools and even teeth of wild animals are not organically transformed.

Archeologists explain it with the micro-climate of the cave.
