I've heard this can be used to correct deformations on skinned meshes. No idea how yet tho -_-

HI, first of all thanks for the tutorial its very good. If you dont mind I got a question to ask. I made a model that i exported to Z brush and imported back in maya. But it came back with so much resolution that the pc is also finding it difficult to select all of the vertices. And after a lot of time it selects them, but when I hit wrap maya just shuts down :(
Any idea pls? or I just have to upgrade the pc?
Thanks

Not sure if this method is the best way to use a proxy model to drive a high res model, ... in terms of good deformation of joints.

great tutorial. Got a question though. did a project with wrap deformer and forgot to select render influence objects. Is there a proper way to remove the wrap to get the render of the object visible again?

great vid.... great trick to work around high overhead models
Does Blender have anything like this?

@SlappieBob Ive only used Blender twice so can not give an exact answer, im totally unsure as to if Blender does do wrap deformers.

Hi Donrodman3, I'm having a problem. When I wrap my hi res model to my low res maya crashes. My model is a word that I want to animate and I'm not sure if the geo is too heavy for my computer or what. I deleted the history and tried to import the object into a new scene, but nothing has worked. Any ideas?
Thanks

@PEN1DMC hey man, ye it is probably due to your computer not being able to take the information. To prevent this you need a computer that has a good graphics card in it or it may be that the highres model is just way to high anyway. People new to maya tend to make really high res geometry when really low is faster and has the same brilliant quailty when rendered high! Work low until rendering.
