how come whenever, for me, he puts down his tentacle fire comes out from his tentacle and not for you?

@YinYangRedBlueMaster You have to get near enough to him to make him pull out his tentacle. If he aggros from range he spams fire.

Hey ENB, my DEX build is now level 61 with 40 DEX. What weapons should I try to obtain? I've been using an Uchigatana +5. I beat Sif today only using my bow, doing 100+ with each hit. It's nice, as my last play through was a strength build and the bow wasn't worth the effort.

There is a scripted way to kill him. Wait for him at the fog gate and when he comes after you, he attempts to jump over a large pit. When he does, he grabs on to the ledge you're standing on, right next to the fog gate. From there you can just hit him in the arm a few times and he dies. This is the REAL intended way to kill him and it's even easier than the strategy shown in this video.

Discharge kept slamming his arm way into the right mountain when I did this so I couldn't reach 'em. I've never seen a legit, mano-e-mano way to fight 'em out in the open so after a few minutes I had to use the OHKO animation.

And I was so op going into the fight :( How disappointing.

The "scripted" way is the easiest....but sometimes he whacks you as you're running away from the chest that you raid to cause him to aggro. If he kills you with that hit....next time you come thru the fog gate he is already aggro & that trick won't work anymore. So.....thank you EpicNameBro!! I wld never have worked that one out!

how about run to the place with the armor, run back to the entrance wait for it to hit and then attack him.

The splash attack you mentioned was not actually a splash attack. If you pay attention he has another arm that he pulls out. In order to do the scripted kill that everyone is talking about, he has to have that extra arm out. Otherwise he is going to spam fire at you.
