  • my vr6 does the samething but autozone check it out and said it mite be the sparks plug n wires or coil ignition.

  • @Mikesilver13

probably the most uneducated thing Ive ever heard without even looking at the car

  • check your maff censor thats the only reason u have misfire

  • @EG4Boosted hi. my one misfiring not as bad as here but only when hot and uder load and funny thing is that only in 1st and 2nd gear, never happened in any other gear, changed plugs and leads and kinda not sure about buying new coilpack after read ur comment. hope u have some idea on that case. cheers pal

  • Hi,

My jetta is miss firing. My uncle change the spark plugs and coils but it was still miss firing. Now its in a shop and the ran a diagonstic and its said its a vaccum 5 mechanic checkk my car and they could not find out where the air is coming from.. So they brought an outside person and they said its the timing chain... whats your opinon

  • Ok, A) alexc, pistons dont not fire. the sparkplug and ignition system does. If he had bad compression it would be noticeable all the time. Plus and over rev condition would lead to a valve in the piston because that is an interference fit engine and there would be NO mistaking that. B) is it misfiring like this at idle? at WOT? under load? at cruise? these all matter. Does it do it cold? or only hot?

  • Lol that's why I'm into Mazdas.

  • @chrisshizzel lmao....i got them out....but

didnt work sold the car BTWvdubs are sweet but parts SUCK

  • @lickmewilly You don't need the tool. You can just use pliers to yank em out.

  • did u ever over rev the engine? maybe the pistons arent firing because the engine is blown and theres no compression on some of the pistons
