The Mission District: Interview with BrooklynRocks, NYC March '09 (Relentless Records/EMI)

The Mission District have been gaining a strong following in Canada over the last few years and the band got some major exposure in the US earlier this year when Perez Hilton posted that he was obsessed with the band.

The Mission District's debut is entitled "Youth Games". The disc has been described as having a trans-Atlantic feel and lead singer David Rancourt cites the likes of '80s Brit Pop bands as The Cure, Tears For Fears, and Talk Talk as sources of inspiration.

I've JUST MET THEM AT ELLIOT MINOR's gig, they supported them,, they are f8cking awesome people, soo nice, got hugs and autographs, PMSL,,.. its wierd.. i just met them a half an hour ago.. love them and their friggin hot!
