Just got these today! This is the guitar straight into the amp, no effects, this clip is all clean, see my other video for overdriven tones. The guitar is my 1994 MIM body partscaster with Warmoth Goncalo/Pau Ferro neck. Body is Alder with an Ash cap, GFS Brass trem block, Callaham bridge saddles. Played through my Blues Jr. Series III, recorded with a Nady RSM 5 ribbon mic on the amp.

  • hi--which type of pickups are they---bluues ones or 69,-- i can hear a hum are they noisy---sean

  • These are the Austin Blues. I have bad grounding in the building, and an unshielded guitar. They are as noisy as I would expect any single coil to be. They are nice and quiet in the in-between positions. They are great sounding pickups, so I can't fault them for a bad ground loop and EMF in my home creating a little 60 cycle hum. @1273seant

  • i have the same pups and they are quiet if you have a well shielded pick guard and a building with normal interference only notice the hum when overdriven in the 1-3-5 pickup positions but on the 2 and 4 positions i dont

  • These pickups are very quiet for not being "noiseless." It must be his wiring and interference.

  • dude. sheild that guy! The right foil tape is fairly cheap and it will make a huge difference.

  • nice demo, diggin the pickups.
