C.B. Rich (1919-1996), spent a lifetime exploring the wildlands of Montana as a cowboy, mountain man, trapper and for over 50 years as an outfitter and guide. He shared his love of the backcountry with friends and guests from all walks of life. His philosophy on wilderness and the outdoors is expressed in his poem "An Outfitters Prayer"
I always loved sitting around the fire place at the double arrow lodge listning to CB saying poems.CB taught me a lot about life and and even more about the back country and cowboy life.(What an experience) I tell people I would get out of grade school fri night go to the end of the road and ride to the double arrow hunting camp and then ride out sun night..Thanks for the memories..
