Fight Like Apes @ The Engine Shed

One word to describe this quartet - Rude.

The song Jake Summers is their only redeeming aspect, without this song they aren't worth knowing. How do they expect to have fans when they dont even stay on the stage long enough to accept their applause at the end of their set?

I do not mean to cause offense by expressing my opinion. I did quite like some of their songs, which I had heard before this night, but the band themselves put me off. Even so, I believe music should be shared which is why I have put this video up on here.

So Fight Like Apes didn't do it for me, sorry. Maybe you will like them and I will happily listen to the reasons why they are good (I could even be converted into being a fan if I heard enough good reviews of other performances).

Just don't attack me for not being impressed this time. Thats just not polite.

Liverpool99's comment made me laugh. I am allowed my own opinion on this band and I made it. I was at the gig and they didn't even seem to want to play that night. So instead of just attacking me through comments, do you want to back it up with reasoned evidence please? Why haven't I got a clue whats going on? I would love to be proved wrong.

I had the pleasure to witness them at the Engine Shed, they rocked. My girlfriend & I chatted to the band for about 10 mins (selling their own merchandise, bless em), got photos, signed EP's & tickets, they were lovely & I really hope they return as a headline act:) The album is top.

This is a quality recording! I've got a recording of them at Rock City and they were very well received there. Quite the contrary. Maybe they were having an off night, who knows. I'd never heard of them before until that night, and I liked most of their songs, so I'm a fan now. Though Jake Summers is not my fave, lol! But thanks for putting this video up and your opinion.

"IAmSmithyAndThisIsMe" really surprised by your comments, there is probably over 50 vids of the apes on youtube and yours was the only negative comment i've seen, which means that they just don't do it for you, which is fine. However I have to say that this is not their only good song, just got the album and there isn't a weak song on it.

They didn't stay on the stage long enough? Were they supporting? I find it strange is all. No applause after this song had finished and they're still on the stage. I think they realized the crowd weren't feeling them.

And personally, I think they have better songs than Jake Summers but of course, mileage varies. :)
