[[ Episode 11 Part 3 ]]
We had finally arrived in California and we were now on the shuttled headed toward North Star Village. The moment we landed I was immediately filled with excitement, looking forward to what the resort might look like, all the activities that were planned, and just being able to kick back and relax.
"Oh wow," Ella exclaimed, "is that the place we're staying?"
I turned around and saw the most beautiful, breathtaking resort surrounded by mountains coated with snow. The resort was buzzing with tourists and I suddenly found myself excited like I was when I had first moved to Los Angeles. If the picturesque view in front of me was any sign of what my vacation would be like, then this vacation is going to be amazing!
"Toto, I don't think we're in Kansas anymore." Hayden joked.
We all began to chuckle and that's when I realized that we were actually capable of putting our problems behind us for the time being. Which, I was extremely thankful for because I'm going to make sure this is the best vacation EVER.
As we stepped off of the shuttle and made our way toward the front desk, all I wanted to do was run around and explore. I've never, in the time I've been alive, been to a resort this big! It was like a candy store for adults!
"Hello, welcome to North Star Village," a woman said from behind the check in desk, "How can I be of assistance?"
"We have reservations under Chalfonte in One Village Place." I responded, trying to tame my excitement.
"Yes," she exclaimed, "August Chalfonte. Did you know that there is this beautiful hotel in New Jersey called the Chalfonte?"
"Yes," I laughed, "my parents own that hotel."
I couldn't believe it! Even though we were across the country from New Jersey 'The Chalfonte' was still being mentioned and in all places, North Star Village! Wow.
"Paulo will take you to One Village Place where the six of you will be staying," she explained, "the room has three bedrooms, a hot tub over looking the ski slope, a fireplace, and lots more amenities! You are also more than welcome to use our fitness center and spa, it's included!"
A smile spread across all of our faces as Paulo walked up and grabbed our luggage, handing it to a man in all black. We followed him outside and we walked across the resort to One Village Place, where our luxury condo was at. As we walked in, my jaw dropped as I saw a gondola! Just when I thought it couldn't get better, it just did. We continued to follow Paulo to an elevator, where we got on but quickly got off moments later. We were on the 4th floor and Paulo walked us to a pair of wooden doors, which made me feel like royalty.
"Here you are," Paulo said, "If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to call the front desk."
We all smiled, while Milo pulled out a 20 and handed it to Paulo as a tip. I am not going to have a problem getting use to this! Jesse unlocked the doors and swung them open, revealing the most beautiful condo I have ever laid eyes on. There were windows every where and a balcony in the living room over looking the ski slope and an outdoor fire pit. There was also a fire place in the living room and a beautiful open kitchen. Quickly, we all separated and made our way to the bedrooms, gasping at how gorgeous they were. There were balcony's in every bedroom overlooking the ski slopes, plasma's near every bed, and full bathrooms in each room.
"Okay, I'll admit it this place is sick," Jesse exclaimed, "But what is the rooming situation suppose to be like?"
Immediately, we came back to reality and realized that we hadn't figured out where each of us was sleeping. But to be honest, I think it was quite obvious.
"You and Ella, Hayden and Leo," I responded, "And Milo and I."
See, what no one knew is that Milo and I had discussed this the day we found out about the trip. There was no way that we were going to have the two couples sleep separately because of us, so we agreed that each night we would switch from the bed to the floor; one on the bed the other on the floor.
"You and Milo?" Jesse questioned.
"Yes." I responded.
"The two of you aren't even together." he responded.
Leave it to Jesse to try and start up some sort of drama over the rooming situation. But I wasn't going to let him bring me down this easily.
"It's no big deal," I joked, "I'll be sure to keep it down while Milo and I have hot, sweaty sex."
Hayden, Leo, and Milo bursted into a fit of laughter, while Jesse's cheeks turned bright red. That's what he gets for trying to rain on my parade!
