An unfair attribution that the movie sucked. I've seen truly sucky films, and this was a fun film.
-
What is the unfair attribution? The assertion that MB is talented or that NOTLD 3D sucked as a film?
My judgement comes from seeing the DVD and its accompanying Special Features.
-
An unfair attribution.

Skaramine mentions the obvious regarding communications.
I'll mention the obvious by pointing out that NOTLD 3D was a failure because of Metabob's pandering to the lowest common denominator.
MB is talented and intelligent. The film fails because of Metabob wrote the screenplay with the attitude, "It's only a film".
Consequently NOTLD 3D contains little horror or dramatic tension.

Just watch one or two episodes of 24 to see how an otherwise good plot can be gelded by instant communications.

Stupidest moment? Gerald spent several minutes setting up his pyrophobia. She didn't happen to have a Peacemaker on hand, so in lieu of actually putting a .45 caliber slug into Gerald's melon, she had to do something to tame the psycho. Thus, she did the smart thing and exploited his fear of flame.

Favorite line in the film:
"Zoom! Zoom! Revenge of the Spliff"

Here in the US there are separate DVDs for the 3D and 2D versions. I have heard that there is a Region 2 version (from somewhere other than the UK) that has both 3D and 2D versions on the same disk. But I can't find any details.
