Pyro's Misery

Story:
"I'm gonna kill you, I swear to God."
John was taken in by the very government that he was working for.

Rogue was fighting in a simulation along with the other X-Men. She then saw Bobby's betrayal. She couldn't handle it anymore and went to get the cure. Though, as she went, she saw John. He was lurking around the cure center, looking like he was going to attack it. Something drew him away, and that was the last time she saw him.
When she goes back to the school, Bobby thought she came back for him. She lets him think that too. Eventually, the cure wears off.
She ends up leaving shortly after, everyone thinking she was going to get another dose of the cure. However, it wasn't for that. Since she saw John, she couldn't get him out of her head. She was going to look for him.

John had been injected with the cure by accident, falling ontop of a discarded needle. He was trying to get away from Alcatraz. He felt his fire leaving, he didn't want to live.
Some interesting government agency took him in, promising a return for his powers. He was lead to believe that, and he was trained to kill.

A few years later, he betrayed the operation. He had found that instead of making a way to give powers back to mutants who had it taken away; they were constructing a virus. One that would only work on mutants, wiping them out.
John was unaware that said operation had captured Rogue, using her for experiments.
John took the original virus, since they could not make a stable strain and hid it away safetly at the institute. He heard that Rogue was long gone, and Bobby had moved on to Kitty. He was furious and went to find Rogue.

The Virus OP decided to finally make things known. They brought John back to headquarters; only succeeding by knocking him out. They knew that John cared for the girl that they held, so if he withheld information, they would use her.

When John didn't give the right info, a phone was brought to him. The woman doing the talking, Kate, gave him a simple command.
"Say hello, John."
John then heard a familar scream.

Kate went over his history, and then let him in on a bit of hers. She told him that she hated all mutants, and they experiments would stop if he told her the information. She knew when he was lying too, he gave ticks away in his facial expressions.
Kate had pressed and pressed; finally getting him to tell her.

He was happy that he saved Rogue, until he heard her scream.
"No, wait! I talked to him-NO!" A gunshot fired and there was silence.
John was angry that Kate had lied to him, backing up and breaked the chair he was in. He then stabbed her with the wooden stake and killed her.
