This is great and all, but how do I plant TOMATOES?

Very good vid ! my plants (gardeners delight) are at the stage of going to ground , i was told to clip any side shoots from the main stalk to add strength to the plants , i wonder if this was the right thing to do ?? secondly should i put a supporting stick for the plant to cling to? and if so loosely tie string around the stalk for support ? If anyone can help it would be much appreciated.

I started with beer cans. Just cut the top off, added dirt and seeds. then when you transfer over to the garden just cut the bottom of the can off and it'll slide right out.
