Gretsch Full Range Hammered Black Steel 14 x 8 snare drum
Size: 14 x 8
Shell: hammered black nickel-plated steel (1.2 mm)
Bearing edge: 45(?) degrees
Hoops: die-cast
Number of lugs:10 on each side (batter. resonant)
Drumheads: Evans Genera dry / Evans Hazy 300
Snare wires: 20 strand
Adjustable throw-off and butt-plate
Weight: 4 kg
Drum code: S-0814-BSH

Sound demo (tuning settings):
Batter head: low - low with 1" Evans O-ring - mid - high
The resonant head is mid to high tension all the time.

Recording:
C-3 Behringer microphon (overhead placement) connected
with Shure X2U adapter directly to USB laptop port.
Recording software: Audacity
There are no effects or EQ!

Drum kit:
Basix Custom fusion set (all birch shells):
Rack Toms: 10x8, 12x9
Floor Tom: 14x14
Bass Drum: 22x18
All toms have Pinstripe clear / Ambassador clear drumhead
combination with Evans Control Rings. Bass drum has Evans EMAD
as batter head and Basix/Remo factory head as resonant.

ZBT Zildijan Cymbals and Basix hardware.

Academix 5a drumsticks.

This is the most versatile drum I have ever played. No problem to obtain warm, full,
fat sound of 70's and 80's (my favourite sound) and sharp, ringy and loud high shots.
