Dirt Road Boogie

It was a 45 minute drive from my girlfriend's house to mine, when I was 17 years old and I had to be home on time, or my folks would kill me. But if I took all the old dirt road cut acrosses, between my house and hers, and drove 80 miles an hour, I could make it in about 11 minutes which gave me a few more minutes to bask in the glory of her girl-ness! This song sounds just like the suspension on Dad's 67 Chrysler Newport, doing 80 on a bumpy old dirt road.. I know I was getting air, just shaving the tops off the bumps. Man that big car road like a dream. Good thing I never met anyone on those old dirt roads. It would have been bad..... Funny, I don't miss the girl all that much, but I'd love to drive me another Chrysler Newport some day.....

Well thank you very much, that's a real nice thing to say. Just curious-are there any particular banjo players you like? Maybe some i haven't heard. As far as banjo pickers go, I've been listening to Gus Cannon, Dock Bogs and Clarence Ashley.
