This is absolutely fantastic and helpful!!!!!!!!!!!! I would be REALLY GRATEFUL if you or anybody else could do something like this for Robert Lang's "Dancing crane" . I know it's more complicated and it has more steps, but I cannot imagine a simpliest way to understand how to fold it, 'cause I'm having a lot of problems with the diagram, especially from step 31 onwards. Thank you.

but I wonder how you made the paper stay on its place for each photo you took..

I want to do an animation with folded paper, too, but I haven't found out yet how to make the folded parts stay on their place.

@hectorthefirst stop motion is easy for most things. take an object like say a coke can. take a few pictures then move it a little bit. keep taking pictures from the same perspective and repeat the process. then add the pictures to a slide show and the can will look to be moving on its own.
