I also like opera but I think different people have different preferences.We should respect the other's choice.Sarah, as her great success in musical industry has shown us, is a singer loved by many people.Some people may be jeolous of her great success, saying she doesn't deserve it;however, she just does what other singers do. She does make her successful story in a rightful way.A majority of people love her and buy her CDs.Those minorities attacking her are just mean and jeolous people

@troykm Actually, one of my problems with Sarah's singing of opera aria is her lack of expression, so I don't understand why you think she has more emotion than opera singers. Now, when she sings Broadway, and when she sings songs like Con te partiro, she is very good, but not when she sings in Italian. Tell me, which emotions does she express here? Just try to follow the lyrics while she sings, and see if she expresses these words.

@jewelmarkess Sarah is my favourite artist, but i agree with you, she is not an opera singer. And i am very glad of that. one thing i have noticed with female 'opera singers' (not all but most) is while technically correct and powerful, they do not convey emotion well. what sarah can do with her voice, is sing a song like this one, sing it good technically, but her greatest strength is she brings the emotion through! her voice just sails right through you :-)

@asx5252 She was famous before she met Lloyd Webber, she was in a group called "Hot Gossip." And Lloyd Webber's other two wifes aren't famous so your comment is just spiteful. Just because you don't find her voice stunning doesn't mean that other people don't. How she became famous shouldn't matter, the only thing that should matter is the music.

Pretty good italian for an english voice. When it comes to italian so many tend to pronunce too much letters(example : "amore" becomes "ammorre" or "luce"-" lucce") or not enought ("stelle" - "stele" and "fredda" -"freda"),but she doesn't seem to have any problems with such a thing.Great voice btw

I think the best female version ever who sung this aria, is Deanna Durbin's. She has the sweetest, angelic voice, no raspiness, God sent from Heaven. Even her Ave Maria is the best ever!
