I took some of my pictures and mixed them with some more famous pictures taken over the course of the war.
I originally had this video with "happier" pictures, and more uplifting music. But there is so much sadness here. So much sacrifice. You can almost lose yourself in the storm. This video reflects the more somber and darker side. God Bless America.

Dude. I spent almost a year over there with Charlie Battery 1st Battalion 12th Marines. We were in the fight in Fallujah in late 2004. I came away with a deep respect for the culture as well as a desire to see to their independent and democratic future. Its not perfect over there but we ARE helping those people become more than they ever thought they could. Semper Fi to my fallen brethren.

known eachother since we were 5....we both signed up at the same time.....and everday of my life i remember him and thats what keeps me going.....But Rangers Lead The Way...All The Way

oh my god... this is just so sad. I honestly feel like this is just, un-needed fighting. I dis-approve of murder and I just cant see myself doing it due to all the sorrow I'd feel. this is a very nice video.

every time i watch this video it makes me feel so weird like i just want to get back in the fight but im afraid my fight is over according to the marines cause there trying to medical retire me but i was in fallujah in 06 and 07 but this is really good video!

this is a great video. what an awesome job you did. my husband served in OIF 2004-2005. He has pictures too but i love the way this was put to music.

The song is called "Gortoz A Ran-J'Attends: sung by Danez Prigent & Lisa Gerrard. The language is Briton which is a celtic language spoken in the Brittany region of France.
You might recognize it from the movie "Black Hawk Down" and it is found on the movie's soundtrack cd.
