just successfully replaced the adjustable inductor i broke a few days ago(a celebratory rice krispie treat was had) and thought i should finally upload a quick video to show off my new theremin.

it's a moog etherwave built from a kit. the finish is minwax stain/polycrylic pecan gloss and i built in a switch accessible from the inside that allows me to select either line level or high-z output. it wasn't easy. long story short: buy it pre-built.

i'm looking forward to joining the newly-formed theremin ensemble here at uiuc.

  • Dude, just got an etherwave plus myself, but the sound doesn't seem anything like I've seen in videos.: (

I've tried tweaking all the settings, but It still just sounds like I'm strangling a parrot. Any advice.I'm just using headphones atm.

the first thing you want to check is if it sounds as bad through an amp. the output level of the etherwave isn't meant for headphones. that would be the first thing the company would ask.
