Team Fang's latest bike based on a 1977 CB125T goes for a blast with my daughter in charge: 13,000rpm in every gear and 17.864 seconds at 76.045mph.
Cosmetically the bike is based on the 1966 Honda RC116 50cc twin and weighs just 80Kg. Find out more at www.thefang.co.uk
As of October 2011 with my wife riding best ET and Time: 16.02 @84mph. More recent videos under my username.

  • I wouldn't have thought twice as high, as there will be more destructive interference of the sound waves as the number of cylinders increases. One must also consider stroke length and piston speed, who cares anyway I like the sound the little beast makes!

  • was that 13,000rpm? sounded lower!

cool project though, what cam timing and carb sizes etc?

and can u buy tuning stuff or did u develop everything?

  • @tpvalley Yes 13,000, don't forget it's a twin so not that high pitched. Standard cam, modified head and CBR250 carbs. I do everything myself, don't think anything is available off the shelf.

  • That bikes got spunk!

  • @Kompins A twin sounds twice as high-pitched as a single at the same RPM.. (unless you're comparing it to a 125cc four!!)
