Yet another update on my Visual Basic Tutorial (non) Progress...

You should be able to see the code that I used to successfully import a 3D object from Blender 2.61 into XNA using Visual Basic.

I wasn't able to get the textures to pull over, but you should be able to see my code well enough to experiment for yourself, should you so desire.

Other than that, the video is chock full of sorry excuses for the lack of tutorial production. ;-P

Can't wait until I can get back on track and into "code mode", again.

  • I had the same problem with texture being imported. I think they are stored in the fbx but Im not sure...I saw the attempted path, created it- put the texture in and it worked fine with another fbx. Thanks for all your videos btw- You have been a big help :)

  • @jsmythib Oooo... You wouldn't by chance have a copy of your successful solution layout, would you? I'd love to see the error of my ways. :-D

  • @jsmythib Windows Game 4.0 vb Template

  • @Aardaerimus I would be happy to email the project(Let me know). However it may help to mention I used the blank game template for vb created by visual basic express for windows phone. I used your 3d code in the right places and it 'called out' to the texture(I just put one where it was looking). maybe clsContent ?

  • Its nice that you try to impement 3d things to your game. Makes it much better :)

  • Hey I heard my name again =P
