Dick Grayson/Donna Troy // Hey, Soul Sister

Gaaah, I can't believe I used a romantic song for my favourite BRO/SIS type relationship. I am so ashamed in myself. Yeah, honestly, I only love Dick and Donna as friends. I can appreciate fanon (fics, art,etc.) and enjoy them (A LOT) but the thought of them as canon makes me shudder.

But look at them, they're so sweet. I hope nothing ever breaks their bond because their friendship is so full of compassion and love. "Who is Donna Troy?" was one of my favourite NTT stories and the fact that Dick gave Donna away at her wedding made me melt into a gooey puddle. They're like siblings, I think Marv Wolfman once even called them the 'D-twins' in an interview.

Word to the wise, starting now, all (most) of the titles of my comic tributes will have their actual names. I decided to this after realizing that some people might be a bit weirded out if I name a video 'Batman/Starfire'. It will also help organize...like, Gar/Raven vs AS!BB/Rae and stuff like that. I might change the name of earlier videos but I'm not sure yet.

Ps. I love how Kory's like in almost every background shot xD one of my favourite OT3's right there.

Haha, no. Dick gave Donna away at her wedding to Terry Long (a marriage that ended in disaster, tbh). Dick and Donna are strictly best friends in canon.

Uh, one? =S Donna's had different origins but uh- there's always been one of her.

@Starfire18girl She just changed costumes! Donna's had three different costumes as Wonder Girl, three as Troia, one as Darkstar and one as Wonder Woman.

I know that you said that this is more of a bro/sis video, but I just love them paired up. It just seems that they are so close to each other that it's such a natural step for them to take. Dick and Donna are just too cute together!! There for I do support this non canon couple lol :)

@nighttroy It's just that there's always a lack of really close platonic male/female relationships in fiction. I think they have a bond stronger than romance...idk, I do kinda ship them in fanon but I just think it would be awkward for everyone, including them, if they actually got together.

But hey, did you know that Marv Wolfman was actually considering pairing them up at one point in NTT? =O

I liked this video but you about their relationship. There was a "Who is Donna Troy" collection and I really liked how Dick put it when he said ... what did he say ... "I could have fallen easily in love with her then (when they first met). Now, years later, I knew I did love her, more than I ever could if I were only her lover."
