Michelangeli and Debussy - the two names bring to mind beautiful masterpieces for piano. That is what was produced whenever the master pianist, Michelangeli, sat down at a piano to play Debussy, as he did here in the complete cycle of Debussy's Preludes, Book (Livre) 1, a group of tone poems, along with Book 2, in the form of Preludes for Piano.
'La Serenade interrompue', "The Interrupted Serenade", is the ninth piece in the 12 piece cycle and was marked for tempo as 'Moderement anime' by Debussy.
Enjoy!
Valid point.
That is why I can't stop with just one collection of pieces. I need to have as many different versions as I can get my hands upon. It's an addiction, for sure.

Interesting - Richter goes quite a bit faster, but Michelangeli's tonal control is second to none.
