reflector test, run one

Finally got my wife to cooperate and video me with all my lights and reflecto-gear.

The test vehicle is our '96 Chrysler minivan, which has just about the weakest headlights of any vehicle you're likely to see on the road these days.

The street is a quiet suburban, one streetlight where the camera is and another maybe 150 meters down the way. You can also see a couple of consctruction barricades blinking away; they're about halfway between the camera and the far streetlight.

For the first run, I'm wearing a nice day-glo yellow jacket, that has a 2 inch strip of white reflective tape sewn across the back, just above the pockets. There are 2 vertical tape strips on the front. I also have some of the grey reflective tape on the heels of my shoes, but it's pretty worn.

In any case, this is NOT sufficient visibility for bike riding at night in traffic.

I would have run you down. ..couldn't see you at all. Maybe it was the camera though.
