Seeing all these nitpick-y, aggressive comments is really disappointing. This movie came almost 20 years after Return of the Jedi. Expecting the Holy Grail of film after that long is a little unrealistic. I was 6 when this film came out and I saw it with my dad. I loved it. I still LIKE it. And I'm more aware of it's flaws now at 20. It's okay, not fantastic. Admittedly, the expectations were too high. But bitching about this movie like it's the biggest mistake in cinematic history? Kinda silly.

This film sucked giant space balls. All those great actors and Lucas still has his head up his ass. Should've had Lawrence Kasdan again.

Nitpicking is when you say "Hey that guy was holding a red book, and in the next scene is a green book". You can love or hate redlettermedia, but this movie sucks, and it will suck for all the years to come.

i agree, its a great movie, I hate the Plinkett reviews, there so unnecessarily nitpicky and ridiculous, and his voice was more annoying then freaking Jar Jar Binks(and that's saying a lot).

I remember the day that the trailer debuted. I was a junior in college just got home from class. I turned on the t.v. and was in shock. I had heard that a new Star Wars film was going to me made, but didn't realize (in 1998) that it was coming out 6 months later. I was like "YESSSSS!" They were playing it on all kind of different stations and even the news! The local Fox affiliate was playing it every 2 hours. There is no way that this or any movie could have lived up to the hype.

Yes. Jar Jar was horrible. But, I liked Episode I.
