I was speaking from a moral standpoint. Pro-union legislation in this country needs to be abolished; they hurt workers, not help them. The worker already has sufficient mechanisms in place to discover what his wage should be through competition between employers. The union simply siphons funds away from those not politically-connected.

No it is illegal to fire an employee for supporting a union drive, similiarly it's illegal to base employement (either hiring or firing) on race, religion, physical hanicap. You can't demand sexual favors from an employee......of course employers don't have the right to fire employees for any reason they want, nor should they. That is the law as it exists now.

Companies hire union-busters to find out employees opinions & fire union supporters. They hold captive audiences, use intimidating one-on-one interviews were they study their employees body language to determine if the employee
supports a union.

unbelievable! i think the only person who actually read the efca bill was the obama girl. it doesn't take away the right to a secret ballot election!! but it may dissuade business leaders attempts to stall a union vote. go read the bill for your self
