My fondest wish is to see those episodes when Carrie II would come out and the Diane Ballard murder mystery...all disturbing, but brilliantly written and played!!! Procter and Gamble need to market them!
This was a Friday episode that ended with the beginning of Carrie's episode, only to be continued on the following Monday...great editing...obviously, one of Carrie's alters came out while she walked down the aisle...at this time, it had not been revealed that Carrie suffered from Multiple Personality Disorder...
The boy in the church is Ron Kennedy, Carrie and Ross's neighbor that she seduced...the man in the trench coat was actually a private detective that Vanessa hired to follow her father, Henry...this was revealed a little later...I remember this because the plotting of most of Headwriter Doug Marland's stories were so wonderful and they interweaved each other!
someone will have to clue me in...who's the sinister looking people in that eerie scene at the church when Carrie has one of her spells? Is the boy Andy Norris? The Ron Kennedy guy Ross mentioned earlier? Who's the man in the trench coat that gets the icy look from Sara? It isn't Larry Wyatt because he enters the room first and meets up with Ed.
I particularly like the comment Mark makes about it and Vanessa's snobbish remark "it's the only halfway decent thing I could find in Springfield" said in that condescending way with the emphasis on "Springfield".
Pure theatre back then! It's so easy, now, to imagine the disapearance of soaps, soon. At least GL, which is now unbearable to watch...why the hell is Reva pregnant, again?
It's sad to think of what else Doug could have done for the show. Instead he did various projects for a few years until he went to ATWT. I miss his writing so much. Think of how many wretched hacks have been in daytime decade after decade, and we only had him for about 14 years.
was Carrie already insane before marrying Ross?

This is such brilliant soap. Vanessa in that big black dress! Carrie's episode. This was Maureen's first appearance?
