Alex Walterbos - The Way Things Turn Out

This is a song I wrote (for my girlfriend, actually!) in the last couple of days. I think it turned out quite well, so I thought I'd share it! Please let me know what you think, I really want to hear some opinions:)

As far as the video goes: It's a semi-serious try. I was just practising, which went pretty good so I thought "Why not?". Being too lazy to get my dads ful-HD-blabla camera, I just grabbed my ipod tough (4th gen) and well.. This is the result! Not really high-quality, but I think it suffices. Couple of errors in the playing, so, as always, I might reupload (and probably won't) some time if I manage to record a better version.

This one's played on my Taylor 214, in a rather unusual tuning: ECDGAD with a partial 4-string (banjo-)capo on the 5th fret on the ECDG-strings. Its a tuning Andy Mckee uses for For My Father with a normal capo on the 3rd fret, and with the exact settings I use here (with the banjocapo on 5th), Rylynn (which I'm currently trying to master).

@merelvh Idd de shubb, hij werkt alleen niet geweldig op zichzelf.. ik doe een extra papiertje of opgerold rubber elastiekje (zo'n dikker postelastiek) tussen de hals en de steun aan de achterkant van de hals, enigszins aan de bovenkant. Ingewikkeld, maar zo blijft ie een stuk beter zitten;)

Alex, dit is echt f*cking rustgevend! Respect! Heb hem al paar keer beluisterd nu. Vooral vanaf 3.00 als je de decrescendo en daarna weer de crescendo ingaat en dan het stuk tot aan het hele eind vind ik beste deel! (Dus van 3.00 tot aan 5.25, je weet zelf :P) Keep up!

@Petje091 Wow bedankt man! Heb al een hoop positieve dingen gehoord, maar deze spant toch wel de kroon:P Binnenkort komt er waarschijnlijk nog een nieuwe versie online van een klein optredentje gister, een live versie dus;) Die ging ook wel redelijk:)
