@notaditdot I get it with constipation, how do i prevent constipation?

Gosh, I love Red wine but it doesn't love me! It has never helped me with my constipation issues either. Quite the opposite really. Funny how different foods affect us all differently. I have no problem with hamburger but do with steak or ribs of any sort. My tummy gets upset if I eat the wrong foods and is very particular! This never used to be the case when I was younger! Aging sucks sometimes!

Hamburger meat also bothers me. I eat chicken, fish, & eggs now, & some pinto beans, since I found a site stating they have the lowest INsoluble fibers, but also the highest soluble fibers of common US beans.
During attacks, downward dog after a large mug of mint tea helps a little, but red wine helps a LOT, plus red wine's resveratrol is very healthy. IMO, red wine is probably more a trigger for IBS-D sufferers, which might be why it "helps" me LOL. After a year, it still tastes rank tho LOL.

I've never heard of that before. I take 2 C/M/Z every morning with the rest of my vitamins. I've never tried them at night. I will though! Thanks! It also helps with depression. People who are depressed get low in these nutrients. The doctor usually gives them an antidepressant or other kind of 'feel good' pill. All these do are deplete more of the C/M/Z in your system, so you get more depressed. Its a downward spiral until you start supplementing your diet. XO Carolyn

Ive been geting ibs for 5 years, since i was 11 (at least i assume its ibs). I ask to see a doctor, my mother says no, she says its just air (bullshit). Anyway, how possible is it to develop colon cancer at 16?

@baba3231 Do you have IBS with constipation or diarrhea? If its constipation and nothing is done, you might be setting yourself up for health issues later in life. Your mom should be understanding of this. Its very uncomfortable plus, there are health concerns. You can develop colon cancer at any age.. but its unlikely at your young age, unless it runs in your family. If you see blood (other than a bleeding hemorrhoid) or mucus in your bowels, its a sign that something's not right. XO Carolyn

My gut was so swollen, the skin was tight. After 2 ER trips & many tests coming back negative, I did a rule-out diet based on Heather's IBS triggers & found out INsoluble fiber was my worst trigger (peas, corn kernals, high-fiber cereals...)
I learned about soluble fibers & ate them prior to small amounts of INsoluble fiber while also taking multi-enzymes & probiotics (now I take combined in one pill). I've slowly built up tolerance to more insoluble. Pain is MUCH less in frequency & intensity.

Digestive enzymes saved my life. They are the only thing that I can take that are truly dependable. I take the multi enzyme probiotics as the acidopholus 'pearls' didn't seem to help much. Glad you're doing better! XO Carolyn
