After receiving a recommendation of a wax, I placed an order and it's arrived, so lets give it a go!

  • What a fantastic handlebar! Congratulations!

I find Firehouse suits me best. I buy 2 sorts -the "dark" for overall shape and control, and the "tacky" which is stickier / firmer for a bit more fix at the tips if I want a more radical or longer lasting curl. Even ordering from the States ( to the UK) it works out much better than Clubman - which I don't like anyway. Mr Taylors is way too soft for me.

  • @l4lthr - Totally agree about Mr Taylor's...it just makes my tache feel greasy, smell of lavender and doesn't actually hold any shape at all.

  • Finally a good video. This guy knows his shit!!!

  • If you're looking for a cheaper solution, I'd recommend equal parts beeswax and petroleum jelly. Just melt, stir, and let cool. You can adjust the ratio to your tastes. If you have an old empty lip-balm applicator (cylindrical twist-to-apply), you can pour the liquid solution directly into it. Once it cools, you'll have a travel-friendly and convenient supply whenever and wherever you need it. One pound of beeswax was $14 USD shipped plus $5 for the petroleum jelly. Lifetime supply for $20 USD.
