I went on a fishing trip with my brother, hi son and my daughter last Saturday. I set up my fishing rod on its rod stand and waited for a bite. After several attempts by fishes nibbling on the bait. It would turn out to be a "biya" or small "tilapia." I lost a hook on another rod with the line cut thinking it was an apahap. As the line showed signs of abrasions. Anyway, I thought my day would end with small fishes that was usually caught by my daughter. How frustrating it can be.... And just when we were about to leave. BAM!.... Zzzzzzzztt!... goes my reel and with my rod bent, I grab the rod and set the hook.... the fight is on.... taking time to reel in my catch... trying to land this 1 kilo bangus had become a challenge as it made several runs that just made my day.

Libre lang ang fishing kina Aling Nene. P50.00 naman ang entrance pag doon kina Kapitan Larry. Per kilo ang bentahan for the fish you catch but masmura kaysa market price. Mura pag huli mo at pag sila nanghuli plus P5-10.00 per kilo.

CORRECTION: From NLEX, take Valenzuela exit, head towards McArthur Highway, right on McArthur, after the Meralco office (right side), left to the side road, pass the market place, go straight & right on Coloong 1. Ask abt the ponds.

This is in Aling Nene's pond in Coloong 1, Valenzuela City. There are a lot of pay ponds in the area. along Coloong 1, I know of two areas wherein you can fish. Kapitan Larry's pond and Aling Nene's pond. You can look it up on Google Earth to have an areal view the place. From NLEX, take Valenzuela exit, head towards McArthur Highway, right on McArthur, right after the Meralco office (right side), left to the side road, pass the market place, go straight & right on Coloong 1.
