Just to let you know I use portable apps a bit. allot of public computers at your library, internet cafe, university actually block or restrict the computer from running portable apps. its great idea and may work for you but be ready for the app to be blocked.

i have a macbook pro form 2009 with an broken screen and lifehackerwebsite say's that it is cheaper to order a new screeen from ifixit than to let it professionally fixed.

but it is nog true. ifixit new screen = 500 dollar and full repair at apple retail store 250 euro's
