I've just bought an audiobook of one of the Campion novels.This was a terrific series.I particularly remember his lugubrious sidekick played by the late,great Brian Glover(BG fans should check out 'The Fishing Party'.RIP Brian.

I've always wanted to know where it came from after hearing it in a bar in a village in south-west France in the '90s. Astonishingly, considering its origin, Le Patron and some of his regulars broke out into song when this music came on. It sounded familiar and I supposed it to be a French song from the 1930s, so thanks for uploading this (for me) jolie melodie.
