smart urban stage 2010

The smart urban stage conquered Europe in 2010 and presented the new smart fortwo electric drive in the major cities of Berlin, Rome, Zurich, Paris, Madrid and Brussels. The smart future minds exhibition went on show in every city under the leitmotif "experience tomorrow's solutions for your city", accompanying the international competition for the smart future minds award. Selected local curators each presented two projects from the categories BE, CREATE, EXCHANGE, EXPLORE and LIVE. Two projects belonging to the MOVE category which were curated by Dr Thomas Weber, member of the Daimler management board, formed a permanent part of the exhibition and were not included in the competition. At the end of each smart urban stage the most innovative project received the smart future minds award valued at € 10,000 before the tour moved on to the next city. The smart urban stage will be continuing its journey in 2011, calling at Amsterdam, London, Barcelona, Cologne and Milan before the grand finale in Frankfurt.
