Memphis Jug Band veterans Will Shade and Charlie Burse (a.k.a. Son Brimmer and Laughing Charlie) perform the Jim Jackson song "Kansas City Blues." This was part of a television special called "Blues Street" produced in 1958. Shade (playing trashcan bass) was 60 years old and Burse (playing resonator tenor guitar) was 57. They had been playing together for 30 years.
"The Boll Weevils got the cotton and the women got me" - Great stuff! I didn't know there was any Sun Brimmer or Charlie Burse video. A real treat. Thanks for posting

@123jlp I seem to have been mistaken about jim jackson, or else his role in the film is unremarkable - but gus cannon appears at two points within the film:
once with the dancing kids and the second time in a group featuring jug players (that i can't identify)

I didn't know there was any video of Will Shade -- albeit past his prime. I wonder if there is any earlier video or any video of Gus Cannon or other members of Cannon's Jug Stompers or the Memphis Jug Band.
