Ursula McLoughlin (2005) & the Kieran Wilde Quintet. 'The Wilde Sessions' recorded in Ireland. Originally written by Harry Warren, the lyrics by Al Dubin. The song was published in 1937. September in the rain was introduced by James Melton in the film Melody for Two. It has become a standard, recorded by many artists since.
This is the way the song should be done, the beautiful lyrics taking pride of place with a great but minimal jazz flavoured backing, Top drawer stuff, love the voice , the flute, the lot........five stars+ *****...........Tony L Walsh.
