I love the scene right before the final battle. We actually see some character in our King of Evil that gives some depth to his desired conquest. And they fit it in so beautifully with the theme of wind. You finally hear a little bit about the human in the man, "I coveted that wind, I suppose." I loved that line.

Zelda: Are you ready?! I'll aim for you! And you use your shield... Do you get it?
Gannondorf: Um.. I'm right here you know..

6:44 Ganondorf: you know their's only one thing i have to say to you . BITCH SLAP.
Zelda: OH SNAP.... (groans)

Look at his past in Ocarina of Time. He cast a death curse on the Deku Tree, revived the Dodongo's to prevent the Gorons from mining the Bomb Flowers, infected Jabu-Jabu with the parasite Barinade, destroyed Hyrule Castle Town, revived Volvaga and was going to feed the Gorons to it as a show of the fate to those that defy him, made it an endless winter in Zora's Domain, freezing the Zoras under ice unless the source of the curse, Morpha, was destroyed. Now what do you think?

Actually, Ganondorf was after the whole Triforce, not just the Triforce of Power. When he first laid his hand on it in Ocarina of Time, a prophecy came to past. 'If one who does not have Power, Wisdom & Courage in balance, the Triforce will separate, leaving only the Force one most believes in'. And there's the fact we don't know much about Ganondorf's backstory, all we know is he's from the Gerudo and was raised by Twinrova, that's it. Remember, monsters are created not born.

@packets1 Because that would make him no better than Ganondorf to bring Hyrule back. the point was that despite their opposition, both the King of Hyrule and the King of Evil(?) were no different in their desire to keep living in the past. Ganondorf's intentions were noble, but the time that his people could relish and benefit from them had past long ago. Daphes realized that he, like Ganondorf, was a relic of an age that should be forgotten.
Alot to take from a ''kid'' game, isn't it? :P

So why didn't the king just say 'I wish To raise Hyrule from the sea and for Ganondorf to die'
Or just raise Hyrule from the sea....Ganondorf no longer has the triforce of power, so Link can then just kill him, like he does anyway.

@Thetoplsecret1000 I already knew that but king hyrule and the temple of time and somehow the zoras and all that wonderful stuff will be gone forever

@zeldagameplayer3 You know what the king said, the Hyrule will be their land,He gave them a future, and the future came true.Don't believe me,just play The legend of Zelda Spirit Tracks, that is the newest land of Hyrule.
No matter how I look at it, I fail to see how Ganondorf is the evil one in this game. As his people suffered from the harsh enviroment in the desert he desierd the fertile land of hyrule. Instead of giving him land, the King rather prayed to the gods to drown everyone but a few (to leave them to centuries of incest). Then, after a hell of a long time to think about what happend, Ganondorf comes back, wished to rebuild Hyrule and what happens? The King dooms Hyrule a second time. Great.

@WyvernRiderHeath as many people said, this is the most sympathetic version of Ganondorf yet. On that note, if there was anything to complain about this game that made sense, that would be one of them.
And on another note, incest is not wincest.
